Meet Head Brewer, Patrick Fowler

Patrick brews the beer. He mills the grain, creates the mash (combine the milled grain with hot water), separates the grain from the wort, boils the wort, adds hops, cools the hopped wort inline while it’s transferred to the fermentation vessel, and adds yeast. He also monitors fermentation and provides quality analysis of all finished products.

Meet Assistant Brewer & Cellar Operator, Alex Topper

Alex manages the cellar which includes harvesting and monitoring the conditions our yeast. He transfers all of the beers from fermentation to bright tanks, dry hop all of the brews, adjusts carbonation levels and packages the finished product. Alex also assists with brewery operations and is the Chief Operating Officer for the root beer division.

Meet Brewery Assistant, Sean Kelly

Sean assists with the overall brewery production including the new CFT Canning Line, daily cleaning duties to keep our brewery shinning bright and makes weekly beer delivers to our self-distribution accounts. Sean is always ready to jump in to help when and where needed.


Keep Colorado LocALE – Coming Soon

To show our support for the Keep Colorado Local coalition, we are working on a fresh Colorado LocALE as we speak! Out of state corporations are interested in changing the way we do business in Colorado by allowing all chain grocers and convenient stores to sell alcohol and boost profits. Meanwhile, the effort will send money out of our communities, force hundreds of small businesses to close and curtail Colorado’s thriving craft industries.

At the Crested Butte Chili & Beer Festival last weekend, our delicious River Runners Pale Ale took home the award for Best Pale Ale! A citrus grapefruit hop aroma paired with a crisp, light malt body makes this pale ale incredibly balanced and drinkable. 2012 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal and 2014 World Beer Cup Silver Medal.
